Sarah
19/02/15
A native of North Carolina, Sarah holds a Master of Music degree in guitar performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Grammy-winner Sergio Assad, and a Bachelor of Music degree from one of the leading colleges for guitar, Florida State University, where she studied with Bruce Holzman. Sarah now enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels throughout the Los Angeles area. With an emphasis on classical technique, she is comfortable teaching guitar in a variety of styles (fingerstyles, early music to contemporary, rhythm or lead playing, solo or ensemble, and more) as well as tutoring in music theory and history. Lessons are customizable according to what you are most interested in working on, whether it is building a solid musical foundation, reading music, or learning to play your favorite songs.
Sarah enjoys teaching with the Royal Music Academy because students can learn music with customized lessons while being part of a greater, positive musical community. Music has been part of her life for as long as she can remember, and Sarah is always excited to introduce students to playing guitar, which opens up many opportunities for fun, building confidence, and personal expression.
Sarah teaches guitar to students of all ages in the neighborhoods of:
Venice, Mar Vista, Playa del Vista, Brentwood, Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Miracle Mile, Silverlake, Los Feliz, Downtown Los Angeles, and more!
