Born in the wilds of North Florida, Jon has been playing guitar and singing for 10 years. In 2009, he pursued his dream to move west and perform professionally. In 2012 received his BM in Studio/Jazz Guitar from the University of Southern California. Music has always been a way for him to express himself and stay connected with his humanity. Since then, he has recorded and performed with solo artists, jazz groups, church choirs and bands all over the US, most notably with singer Rozzi Crane of 222 Records. His first and favorite passion, however, is writing, and he has joined forces with singer Katie Sims in their band, Her Electric Fur. The basis of Jon’s teaching is the ear: how you learn the language of music and begin to express what you hear on the guitar and in your lyrics. He loves teaching because he knows how important it was for him to learn music in the most entertaining and productive way possible, and he wants to pass that on. The Royal Music Academy has a great way of connecting incredible teachers with kids who love music and would definitely benefit from the presence of music in their lives.

Jon teaches guitar and songwriting to students of all ages and teaches in the neighborhoods of Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Westwood, Pacific Palisades, Downtown Los Angeles, Silverlake, Hancock Park, Echo Park, Bel Air, and more!
